August 12th 2009, EFAAD President Dr Jean-Frederic ANDRE had the opportunity to meet Dr Christian COUZINOU, President of the French National Board of Dentistry. A fruitful exchange of ideas with the will to collaborate on the advancement of patient management in dentistry emerged from a pleasant visit in the Board's headquarters in Paris.
A new french society is born "Sedation et Chirurgie Dentaire". Launched by Dr Jean-Frederic ANDRE, it will put sedation as a dental skill on tracks in France. A dedicated website is online at www.easy-sedation.com.
Teaching is offered with 2-day courses directly on an operating site. All details are posted on the website.
EFAAD's latest board meeting was held in Gaillard on April 2009. Among attendees the following executives attended : Dr Jean-Frederic ANDRE (President), Pr Eliezer KAUFMAN (Immediate Past President), Pr Solomon RABINOVITCH (President-Elect), Dr Gastone ZANETTE (Executive Secretary), Pr Enrico FACCO (Editor), Dr Elinor BOUVY-BERENDS (Past President), along with Pr Serguey SOKOV and Dr Vladislav PRIKULS.
Our action for the future is clearly focused on communucation and 'how to spread the message' of pain and anxiety control.
An EFAAD board meeting was held in Mainz (GERMANY) during The IAZA Emergency medecine congress on September 15-16, 2007. A tremendous attendance was recorded with around 250 participants for each session. The meeting includes theory in the morning followed by a panel of various workshops including :
Basic life support ; IV perfusion ; Patient evaluation
